Online bus ticketing platform redBus has launched two-wheeler pooling service starting from Bengaluru, Entrackr reports.

The company’s new vertical, rPool, currently offers carpooling services. redBus has now reportedly notified its users about the bike pooling service via an email. 

To lure daily commuters, redBus is offering rides starting as low as Rs 3/km. Users can also set recurring rides on the platform.

rPool is also offering incentives to ride-givers in the form of reward points that can be redeemed at fuel stations and online shopping portals, the report added. The publication, however, claimed it was unable to book bike-pooling rides through the app.

Flipkart CEO Kalyan Krishnamurthy may get company’s board seat

Walmart-backed e-tailer Flipkart may induct Kalyan Krishnamurthy, chief executive officer, to its board, according to a report by Entrackr.

The Bengaluru-based ecommerce company currently has eleven members, including three representatives from Walmart and four independent directors, in its board, the report said.

Krishnamurthy has been leading the company since 2017. Under his leadership, the company reclaimed the top spot in 2017. He got a more significant role as group CEO in November last year when Flipkart co-founder Binny Bansal had to resign from the post.

Kerala High Court seeks govt's views on plea to ban Telegram app

The Kerala High Court wants to know the central government’s view on a plea seeking to ban messaging app Telegram, the Economic Times reports.

The Russian-encrypted app allegedly helps circulate child abuse videos and is used by terrorists as a communication tool.

The direction came after Athena Solomon K, a student at the National Law School of India University in Bengaluru approached the court stating that the app was being used to circulate obscene content of women and children, ET report said. 

Last month, the Supreme Court had asked the central government to file an affidavit regarding the framing of guidelines to prevent misuse of social media platforms, the report added.
