Nearly 3,50,000 accounts of users on music streaming platform Spotify are vulnerable to hacking through a credential stuffing operation, according to vpnMentor, a VPN review website. Credential stuffing refers to a hacking technique that gets unauthorised entry through weak customer passwords. The operation, whose origins are unknown, was uncovered in July, the vpnMentor statement said. Spotify, it said, has initiated a ‘rolling reset’ of passwords for all users affected.

Max Life Insurance launches accelerator programme

Max Life Insurance on Friday announced the launch of the second edition of its insurtech accelerator programme, Max Life Innovation Labs. In partnership with Invest India, a national investment promotion and facilitation agency, the programme will provide startups access knowledge, infrastructure and support from Max Life to improve their business processes. Max Life plans to select startups to co-develop solutions in the areas of artificial intelligence/machine learning, smart underwriting, blockchain, health and wellness, intelligent data acquisition and advanced data analytics.
