Pune-based Busybees Logistics Solutions, which owns logistics platform Xpressbees, ended FY21 with an annual revenue run rate of Rs 1,100 crore and claims to be close to profitability.
The company, which raised $110 million in a growth funding round in November last year, aims to grow by at least 50% from last year.

In an interview with TechCircle, Amitava Saha, founder and CEO of Xpressbees spoke extensively about how the company managed the pandemic induced lockdown, its performance last year and plans for the current year.
“This year we will not only focus on ecommerce, but will also look at B2B Xpress business along with our fulfilment business where we will work with some of the leading brands,” he said.
Xpressbees is eyeing an opportunity in D2C (direct-to-consumer) segment, offering end-to-end service to brands.

The company, which is present in 17000 pincodes in India, is looking to cover the entire country by March 2022.
Amitava founded XpressBees in 2015 and has since led its overall operation and business development. In 2010, he co-founded baby etailer FirstCry.com along with Supam Maheshwari. He has worked with companies like Future Software, a telecom software company, NIIT Technologies and Tata Steel.
